Aysha Griffin – Founder of GreenRoads™ Realty and Green Living New Mexico

Green Living New Mexico is the brainchild of Aysha Griffin, a former journalist, marketing maven and co-owner of a residential building company specializing in energy efficiency (before the term “green” came into fashion). Entering the real estate business in Santa Fe, NM in 2001, she believes real estate is an industry that can propel significant environmental and social change. She established GreenRoads™ Realty, New Mexico’s first green real estate brokerage, in late 2009.

In 2003, Aysha formed Go Realty, “Santa Fe’s only Exclusive Buyer’s Agency.”  Along with her partner/broker David Helling, they brought 20-plus years experience as business owners in both the green home design/building and marketing/communications industries to offer a higher level of education and empowerment to Santa Fe area buyers and investors.

That same year, Aysha authored the “Santa Fe Green Building Guidelines” for the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association and Sustainable Communities. She became an advocate for sustainable design and technology to enhance overall quality of life by improving air and water quality, reducing resource consumption, waste and noise pollution, and protecting ecosystems and biodiversity to create a better environment. She has continued to be involved with SFAHBA Green Building Council, is Green Real Estate Leadership Certified and has been involved in the Green Building Expo and Celebrate Sustainable Santa Fe.

Bob Taylor EcoBroker, Broker Associate with GreenRoads Realty

A certified instructor of the NAR’s Green designation course and EcoBroker Certified, Bob brings a wealth of information about energy and environmental issues and the Santa Fe market to his green real estate practice and construction management business.

Originally from West Texas, with a degree in Business Administration, Bob’s love of architecture led him to Santa Fe in 1976 and a career in custom home building, remodeling and real estate.

An avid outdoorsman – skiing, rafting, mountain biking and flyfishing – Bob enjoys helping buyers evaluate homes for quality of construction, remodeling possibilities and market value or analyze and evaluate vacant land. His design expertsie helps sellers prepare their properties for sale while his internet marketing expertise and local networking helps get them sold.

Marka Smith Graphic Designer, Web Manager for GreenRoads™ Realty and Green Living New Mexico, writer and visual artist

Marka Smith began her career as a graphic designer (and assistant editor) working for a community magazine in Maui, HI. With a background in fine art, it seemed a natural way to apply her skills and be involved in a creative community. Concurrent with designing advertising materials, magazines, and artist’s books, she  produced events and organized retreats for the transformational arts community.  She has continued to work as a graphic designer and event producer/promoter for independent artists, entrepreneurs, and educational arts organizations in Hawaii, New Mexico, and Canada. Marka is also a visual artist (pastels, jewelry design, stage set design), writer, musician, and intuitive arts professional (tarot, astrology, and dream-work) with intermittent participation in dance, theater, and music projects.
